Our Privacy Commitment

Trinity Baptist Church (Trinity) is committed to protecting the personal and financial privacy of its members & attenders. The personal information you share with Trinity will be used to support the administration and management of ministries, delivery of services and the maintenance of programs offered by Trinity. We protect the personal information and adhere to all legislative requirements with respect to protecting privacy.

Why does Trinity gather personal information?

Personal information is any information that identifies you as an individual. This could include your contact information, such as your name, address, phone number, family members, pictures, and email address. We may also collect payment information, such as credit/debit card numbers, the card’s expiration date, and other billing information if you purchase or make payments through us online. Trinity collects personal information for a variety of purposes, such as:

  • Church Membership registration
  • Church Directories
  • Volunteer and leadership development
  • Program and service registration, administration and delivery
  • Counseling and prayer support
  • Church administration (mailings, tithing, offerings, payments owing, etc.)

How does Trinity ensure privacy protections?
 
Trinity uses your information to better connect with you and to connect you with others appropriate for the administration and management of our church.
 
 We inform our church personnel and volunteers of the importance of protecting your personal information and limit access to what is appropriate to the personnel and volunteers area of ministry. We also advise all church volunteers that personal information obtained during their service cannot be used for any purposes other than authorized church ministry.
 
 We maintain adequate physical, procedural and electronic security with respect to offices and information storage facilities (e.g. digital media, filing cabinets, etc.) so as to protect personal information against such risks as unauthorized access, use, disclosure or destruction.
 
 Tithing and Offering Information
 
Access to information regarding your tithes and offerings to Trinity is restricted to:

  • The church volunteers who collect and count the offerings
  • The financial administrator (who administers the online giving account)
  • The financial secretary (who administers the online giving and tracks overall giving)

You have the right to request access to information about your tithes and offerings. However, you do not have the right to access tithing/offering information to other identifiable Trinity members without their written consent.

Trinity Baptist Church Online

Trinity maintains its own website at www.trinitynh.org. Additionally, Trinity maintains various social media pages and groups. We will carefully review the purpose and need before posting personal information on any of these platforms. If personal information is posted, we will limit the amount of personal information to that which is necessary. Examples of where personal information might be displayed is in listing leadership of small groups, which require a leader's name and information to contact that person.

Our church management software (Planning Center), like any merchant that handles credit card payments, must comply with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS, or PCI for short). Planning Center is a Level One compliant merchant.  

Pictures of church people, activities and events may also be displayed from time to time online. Identifying information (e.g. your name or names of your family members) will only be included with your permission. Additionally, we will also seek your permission before utilizing any close‐up pictures of you or your family.
 
 Our website uses “cookies” to better interact with you. A cookie is a small piece of data that is stored on your computer’s hard drive that allows our website to remember your preferences and interactions with the website. A cookie does not access other information from your hard drive or other cookie files you may have from other sites. You can decline cookies through your browser settings. However, if you do decline cookies, certain functions of our website may not be available.

Trinity Baptist Church Directory

Trinity utilizes an online Church Directory. Participation in this Directory is a voluntary opt-in service. All information contained in the Directory is completely under your control. The access of this directory would be limited to membership and those with regular attendance of at least 6 months. Information contained in the Trinity online directory is for church-related purposes only and is not to be shared outside our church body. The directory information is not for any type of solicitation purposes.

We reserve the right to change or modify this Privacy Policy in any way, at any time. Please read this Privacy Policy in order to understand how your information may be obtained and used. Any content that is provided to us by you or is obtained by us from you (through our Website, trinitynh.org or through Planning Center, our church management software) is governed by this Privacy Policy. By using our Website or choosing to interact with Planning Center, whether you have read this Privacy Policy or not, you are fully consenting to this Privacy Policy.
